How to come to the Hotel de la Glane

BY THE ROAD

  • Nearest motorway: A 20, Exit 28
  • RN 141 (Limoges-Saint-Junien) then RD 9 (Direction Oradour-sur-Glane)
  • RN 147 (Poitiers - Bellac - Limoges) then to Chamborêt D 711
  • From Bellac, D 675 (Direction Saint-Junien) then D9

Park

Possibility to park in the street of the hotel or nearby in the adjacent streets.

Two free public car parks less than 5 minutes walk from the hotel.

The Champs de Foire car park has an electric charging station for electric vehicles.

A parking space for people with disabilities is available near the hotel: Rue de la Renaissance (20 m from the hotel - opposite the post office and the Caisse d'Epargne)

 

2. ARRIVAL / DEPARTURE

Check in


The reception welcomes you from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Please notify reception if you expect to arrive after 8:30 p.m.
We will send you the procedure to follow to access the hotel and your room.

Payment for the room is made on arrival when the keys are handed over.

• Bank card (Visa, MasterCard)
• Species
• ANCV holiday vouchers

A police form must be completed for all foreign tourists upon arrival.

 

Check out

The room must be vacated by 11:00 a.m. on the day of departure at the latest .

If exceeded, we reserve the right to charge a supplement up to the price of the room.

For an early departure, please notify the reception to agree on the terms.


Departure formalities:
The room key must be left at reception.

 

3. HOTEL SERVICES

 

Reception is open 7 days a week, from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Outside the summer season, opening days and times may be modified.
Outside reception opening hours or in case of emergency, a telephone transfer allows you to contact us easily by dialing 200 from the telephone in your room or + 33 5 87 14 08 10 from your smartphone .

  • Breakfast

The breakfast buffet consists mainly of local products. It must be reserved no later than the day of your arrival.

It is served in the breakfast room, next to the reception, from 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
The price is €12 per adult and €7 for children under 10 years old.

We offer you :

- hot drink of your choice: coffee, espresso, tea, chocolate

- orange juice or apple juice
- pastries and fresh bread

- butter, honey, spread and jam

- fruit, cheese, charcuterie, cottage cheese, cereals

 

  • Wireless
    You will find the hotel's Wifi code in your room.

 

  • Mail

A set of correspondence (paper and pen) is at your disposal in the desk drawer of your room.

If you have mail to send, you can drop it off at reception.You will also find the post office or its mailbox in front of the hotel.

 

  • Need extra towels

We provide two towels per person in your rooms. If, however, this is not enough, we can provide you with more on request.

 

Special need

You will find at your disposal at the reception (subject to availability):

- an alarm clock (on request, the reception can also wake you up if you wish)

- Table and iron

- Shoe polish kit

- Sewing kit

- Adapter (220v)

- Board games

- Baby equipment (cot, changing mat, bath, bottle warmer).
Baby equipment can be installed in your room upon your arrival upon prior request when booking.

A high chair is available in the breakfast room for meals.

 

  • Pets – guide dog

The establishment accepts pets under conditions and with a supplement only in the areas and rooms on the ground floor. They must be   calm, clean, kept on a leash in the common areas, and should not be left alone in the rooms. No supplement is charged to guide dogs accompanying a person with a disability.

 

  • Video surveillance

For your security, the common areas of the hotel are placed under video surveillance.
To assert your right of access to the images, contact the hotel management.

 

  • Safety instructions

Safety instructions are displayed at each level of the common areas. We ask that you read them and respect them. The assembly point in case of evacuation is located at the back of the establishment at the bottom of the garden.

In case of emergency: call the reception by dialing 200 from the telephone in your room or + 33 5 87 14 08 10 from your smartphone.

 

  • No Smoking

The establishment is non-smoking.   It is strictly forbidden to smoke in the rooms (including at their windows) and in all covered public areas of the hotel. In case of violation of this prohibition, the hotel will charge the equivalent of the expenses incurred to remove the smell of tobacco as well as the losses caused by the impossibility of renting the rooms.

The garden and the terrace are at your disposal to smoke outside, with respect for others. Ashtrays are available.

 

  • Outdoor food

The rooms are not suitable for taking meals. We provide picnic tables outside in the garden. In winter or if the weather does not allow you to dine outside, you can, on prior request to reception, sit in the breakfast room.

 

  • Consumptions

The bar is open during reception hours, from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The service is done either in the breakfast room, or on the terrace or in the Espace de la Glane (depending on the period).

Alcoholic beverages are to be consumed in moderation and in respect of the tranquility of the place.

 

  • Heating Air Conditioning

For your comfort, all our rooms are equipped with an individual reversible heating system.We are counting on you to accompany us in our environmental approach and be careful to turn off the heating or air conditioning when you do not need it, when you open the window or when you leave the room.

 

  • Housekeeping

Housekeeping service takes place between 09:00 and 13:00. Please let us know using the sign available in your room whether or not you want us to come to your room when you stay several days in our establishment.

 

  • Outdoor spaces

A large garden and a terrace are at your disposal to rest, read, play, or have a drink. Big or small, everyone will find their occupation.

4. PROTECTION OF THE ENVIRONMENT

 

The Hotel de la Glane is committed to participating in the protection of the environment by respecting a few eco-responsible gestures.

Also, we have chosen:
- offer you products that are mainly local or from short or organic circuits

- make use of eco-labeled cleaning products,
- equip our toilets with devices that limit water consumption (flushing 3 liters / 6 liters)

- carry out the selective sorting of common waste,
- use low energy light bulbs, etc.


We are counting on you to support us in this environmental approach throughout your stay, in particular:
- by turning off the lights, the TV and the towel dryer when you leave your room

- by closing the windows when using the air conditioning or heating.
- by hanging the "do not disturb or please clean the room" sign to let us know whether or not you want us to come to your room during your stays of several nights,
- by limiting the replacement of your towels. To do this, put on the floor or in the shower only the towels you want to change. Hanging towels will not be systematically replaced.

- by not throwing in the toilets: toxic products (solvents, paint...), medicines (you can drop them off, we will bring them to be recycled), oils, solid objects (cigarettes, sanitary protection, cottons- rods...)
- by participating in the selective sorting by depositing your paper packaging, your plastic bottles in the basket of the room and by putting aside the glass bottles. Non-recyclable waste will be thrown in the bathroom trash can. We also provide you with a selective sorting bin near the reception.

- by preferring for your travels, an alternative mode of transport to the car when possible. It only takes 5 minutes on foot to get from the hotel to the center of memory or to the martyr village.

For short distances, walking is an ideal way to better appreciate the landscapes! Take advantage of our hiking trails to discover the Limousin countryside.

There is also a bus line to get you to Limoges. A brochure with timetables is available at reception.

 

5. CATERING

 

The Hotel de la Glane does not have a restaurant.

For professionals who would like a stopover meal, we offer a main course menu + dessert, presented in a jar. The dishes are cooked with local products by our service provider ""Le Croustillant"".

You can order these jars from reception and enjoy them in the breakfast room or outside between 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. (allow about 30 minutes before hot service).

You also have the possibility of dining in the restaurants of Oradour sur Glane or the surrounding area.
